Away for too long!

I’ve been away drawing like mad, so much in fact I hurt my hand. Not solely from drawing but it didn’t help! I’m recovering, I was able to draw a small self portrait today! :)

I guess I didn’t post all of October. It was a busy month of drawing, my 3 year anniversary with my husband, Halloween, and of course I then hurt my hand. I’ve been offline as far as being creative goes, until now! Still have to take it easy though.

Here’s a pumpkin I carved last month of one of my characters, Sprocket!

Kigurumis, Cosplay, and Curiously Cute!

My friend, Laura, and I decided it would be fun to dress up! We both have the san-x Rilakkuma bear kigurumis. We also thought it would be fun to wear our cosplay wigs from Panty and Stocking. Scott took some fun pictures ^_^

While it’s still summer, I have been making the most of the sun and warm weather! We’ve gone swimming, hiking, and to outdoor events. Summer is never the best time for me to crochet, sadly. I do have lots of feminine/mori girl inspired pieces that I plan on working on soon though. Mostly, I am still concentrating on Curiously Cute illustrations. Since I don’t have a separate blog for that yet, I might as well post some things here too.

These cute little alpacas are craft inspired! I love alpaca yarn and they’re such adorable animals. These particular characters are Pearl and Mulberry with their monkey shop keeper, Peanut. These are just some of the characters from the Curiously Cute world and I hope to have many, many more!

Ukulele and Roses

I love my new Ukulele <3 I have been playing it like crazy and trying to learn a bunch of songs. I’ve never played anything before so I’m just learning about music in general now. It’s a lot of fun. I hope to post more with videos sometime. I also have some related crafts I’d like to do. I need to make a bag for it, possibly a strap, and a cute little dangle charm ^_^

I recently visited the rose garden with some of the local Lolitas. It was such a pretty day and so many sweet smelling roses. There was even one that smelled like bananas!!! I wore a cute skirt that my friend, Laura gave me and had a sparkly new cardigan that matched it perfectly.

The summer has been really nice. I have been drawing a lot and getting things figured out, while also having a lot of fun and learning lots of new things. I haven’t crocheted in awhile but I have been focusing on my digital drawing and learning the ukulele.

I’m excited to get Curiously Cute fully up and running. I’m not exactly sure when that will be. I would also like to start blogging on SugaryStitches more, not just as a craft blog but a personal blog as well.
